Hell, my lovelies! Today we are doing something a little different over here at Kaboom headquarters – my friend Kyo sent me an alert about China, the dog she and her boyfriend have been fostering since November. China is an adult female pit/shar pei mix, and as sweet and lovable dog as you have ever met. They’ve greatly enjoyed their opportunity to foster her, but juggling school and work is getting more and more hectic for them, and they think China Girl deserves a more permanent, attentive environment. Next weekend, they will be returning her to her home shelter, the Liberty Humane Society.

About China:

  • Adult (approx 4yoa) female share pei/pitbull terrier mix, spayed.
  • Loves attention from people – total social butterfly at parties, hopping from person to person.
  • Very loyal, always likes to be nearby her parents.
  • Crate-trained and housebroken – took us only a day to get her adjusted at home.
  • Bring on the chew toys and games of fetch! Although she may need a little coaxing to drop the ball during fetch…
  • Great on car rides.
  • Enjoys long naps, sometimes snoring, which can be quite adorable.
  • Needs leash and general obedience training. Often on walks she lays down when other dogs are nearby, showing submissiveness, yet will be aggressive when meeting dogs. China would greatly benefit from a dog walker during the day, as we keep her crated and she gets bursts of energy where she can play rough and has jumped and nipped clothing.
