1. Zach Genin: Loving the photography collection posted by BOOOOOOOM. So simple and unaffected, and pure beauty.
2. How They Became…The Flaming Lips: The Flaming Lips explain the origins of their band name, and some of their favorite/most hated band names out there. (PS: I am tingling with anticipation about seeing them live next month, so prepare to be inundated by Flaming Lips stuff from me.)
3. Top 10 Plants for Removing Indoor Toxins: As if I didn’t have enough to worry about, now I have to be concerned about INDOOR POLLUTION in my house. Ick. Fortunately, there are some plants that can assist me in cleaning my air, so I don’t have to go around my domicile with one of those creepy face masks.
4. Joanna Newsom’s ‘Have One On Me’: I’d like to believe the rest of the world is on the same wavelength as me. Which means we’ve all been hanging around with baited breath, eagerly anticipating the new release by that folk-fairy angel, Joanna Newsom. Well, I am pleased to report it’s lived up to the hype – and even better, NPR is allowing you to listen to the entire album online. Hallelujah!
5. Big Hair is Back: My curly brethren rejoice! From Sonia Rykiel to Rachel Comey, full, fuzzy heads are back with a vengeance. So put down that frizz-control, and let your fly-aways wave like flags! For those of you not blessed with natural ‘fros, Refinery 29 shows you the best products to get your frizz on.
6. Buns of Steel: This right here is a gal after my own cheap heart: a twenty-something New York law student has made it her mission to beg, borrow and steal a year’s worth of free fitness from the Big Apple, and chronicles her mission on her blog for our education/amusement. You. Go. Girl.
7. Johnny Weir, Olympic Diva: I am not a huge fan of the Olympics. I don’t get all giddy about them, and Mr. Kaboom yelled at me when I pointed out while we were watching it that this is the first year I had ever watched the opening ceremony. But there is one thing I love about the Olympics this year, and that is Johnny Weir. He is just the most stylish, adorable creature on ice. And if my tirade doesn’t convince you, this article will.
And finally, this music video for “In Our Talons” by Bowerbirds, directed by Alan Poon has me simply giddy. Stop motion forever! Enjoy…

Oh lordy, I love Johnny Weir. He’s nutty and flamboyant but he’s also very gentlemanly and well-spoken even to those who don’t approve of him- he obviously knows how to set an example and change minds. Great dude.
Couldn’t agree more, Lime!
