1. Hello Kitty Hell: Naysayers be damned: this thing is awesome. If I needed to be killed by an insane axe murderer, this would be my letter of choice, and it would be so KAWAI!! Also, this would ideally held by this guy.
2. A Sculpture That Perpetually Sells Itself On eBay: Artist Caleb Larsen has created an art sculpture which every ten minutes pings a server on the internet via an ethernet connection to check if it is for sale on the eBay. If its auction has ended or it has sold, it automatically creates a new auction of itself. A compelling piece of work concerning art, the internet, and marketability.
3. Heinz Ketchup Packet Redesigned: I want to know why this took so damn long!? Why have I had to suffer through nearly thirty years of squeezing ridiculously small ketchup packets. Bitterness aside, we can all take relief that our days of suffering over 12 sticky, nasty packets to eat a container of french fries are OVER. HALLELUJAH.
4. Evelyn Evelyn: One of my favorite musical artists working today is Amanda Palmer. Her unique sound, her exhibitionism, and her artistic vision never cease to surprise and delight me. Her newest collaboration with Jason Webley, the “promoting” of two conjoined twin performers, features: “Weird Al” Yankovic, Andrew W.K., Tegan and Sara, My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way, Neil Gaiman, and Frances Bean Cobain. Yeah, that one. It will be difficult for this NOT to be awesome.
5. CSS Rolls A Coke Can: Ok, I am not sure if this is going to resonate to anyone who isn’t a code-monkey/junkie, but it’s so cool, I can’t help mentioning it. Click the link - see that Coke can? See how it rolls? That’s done with code. No flash, no movie. Straight code. And it’s fracking beautiful.
6. 15 Cute Animals That Will Cause You Horrible Harm: They may look cute and cuddly, but BEWARE! They will kill you. Though I have to point out that I feel the rats are being given a bad hand here - it’s not their fault Bubonic fleas love them. Stop hating, civilization.
